LORD MicroStrain wins numerous tech awards

2014 Silver Innovation Best of Sensors Expo Award

LORD Corporation MicroStrain® Sensing Systems has been awarded a 2014 Best of Sensors Expo Silver Innovation Award for its 3DM-GX4-25 Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) Inertial Sensor.

This marks the eighth straight year (and 13 of the last 14) that LORD MicroStrain has won a Best of Sensors Expo Award. The award was presented by Mat Dirjish, Executive Editor of Sensors Magazine, at the Sensors Expo & Conference on June 26 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.

In addition, SensorCloud was recently named to ProfitBricks' list of the"Top 49 Tools For The Internet of Things", and our 3DM-GX4 line of Inertial Sensors was named one of the "Top 101 Components on 2014" by MachineDesign magazine.

TECH NOTE: Migrating from the 3DM-GX3 to the 3DM-GX4

The 3DM-GX4 family of inertial sensors

The 3DM-GX4™ is the latest generation of the very popular 3DM-GX series of IMU/VG, AHRS, and GPS-INS. We have made every effort to design this as a "drop-in" replacement for the previous-generation GX3 inertial sensors, making it easier to upgrade. However, there are a few key performance and API differences between the GX3 and GX4 series.

There are several critical, performance-related differences between the GX3 and GX4 inertial sensors. If you have an application that is directly impacted by any of these performance areas, you should be aware of how the performance difference may affect your application.
