Introducing Watt-Link: Wireless Energy Monitoring On a Scalable Cloud Platform
Watt-Link Product Image
Watt-Link™ Wireless Energy & Power Monitoring

LORD MicroStrain released Watt-Link™, a wireless energy and power monitoring sensor node, at the 2013 Sensors Expo.

Watt-Link combines the simplicity of wireless installation with the reliability of LXRS® lossless data communication and remote monitoring of SensorCloud.  Devices synchronize bidirectional power, energy, and demand data with other LORD MicroStrain condition-based monitoring, including wireless strain, vibration, and temperature.

Tech Tips and Tricks: Measuring Small Voltage and Small Current with the V-Link®-LXRS® and SG-Link®-LXRS® Wireless Sensor Nodes

Andrew Deering, Senior Support Engineer
Andrew Deering,  Technical Support Engineer, Sensing Systems

This month Andrew provides four related technical notes which demonstrate how to measure small voltages and small current with the V-Link-LXRS and the SG-Link-LXRS Wireless Analog Input Sensor Nodes.  He also explains how to control a relay and how to use a 4 to 20 mA sensor with the nodes.  Andrew is always available to support you by phone, email, SKYPE or Live Chat on our home page.

MathEngine® Sensor Data Analytics and Alerting

MathEngine® streamlines and automates health, usage, and condition monitoring for remote sensor networks onSensorCloud™. Alerting and reporting toolkits support SMS and email messaging for actionable notifications.

Now users can schedule and run custom scripts to distill big sensor data, pull web-based data at custom intervals, and perform advanced data processing algorithms for generating indicator metrics such as vibration frequencies, watt-hours, metal fatigue, or bearing failure.

Application Note: Rolling Stock Health Monitoring

Maintenance and service is a key contributor to the total cost of train ownership.  The total cost of maintaining rolling stock often exceeds original equipment purchase price.
Our wireless sensing systems provide fleet operators with a quick and cost-effective path to embedding health sensing capabilities on both new and existing critical rolling stock components for continuous, automated condition updates.

LORD MicroStrain Volunteers Build With Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity

Thursday, June 20 - Under LORD's community outreach initiative, eight volunteers from LORD MicroStrain took the day to install roof trusses on a local Habitat for Humanity project.

The four bedroom house is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013.  Additional LORD MicroStrain volunteer crews will donate their time over the summer/fall to help reach this goal and provide a new home for a local family in need.
