Map Out Your Wireless Sensing System and Build a Quote Using "Configure Your System" Feature

Configure Your Wireless Sensing SystemLORD MicroStrain Sensing Systems offers a convenient way to configure your ownwireless sensor networkthrough an easy-to-use web interface.  By configuring a wireless sensing system, users can determine bandwidth availability for their system, and identify when additional base stations may be needed.Configure Your Systemallows users to select sensor node type, active channels, sampling mode and sample rate.   LORD MicroStrain's wireless sensing systems enable simultaneous, high-speed sensing and data acquisition from multiple wireless strain gauges, accelerometers, temperature, and voltage inputs.

Wireless Sensor Node New Power Profiles Available!

Power consumption is an important consideration when deploying remote wireless sensors. MicroStrain's wireless sensor nodes including V-Link®-LXRS 8 Channel Wireless Analog Sensor Node, SG-Link®-LXRS 3 Channel Wireless Analog Sensor Node, and G-Link®-LXRS Wireless Accelerometer Node may be operated with their internal rechargeable battery or with external batteries. The power profiles available for each of these wireless sensor nodes aid the user in determining how long a remote sensor may be operated without maintenance. This prior knowledge becomes particularly critical in hard-to-reach applications such as an interstate bridge superstructure, the canopy of a rain forest, or the nacelle of a windmill.

Tech Tips and Tricks:  Using the DEMOD-DC with V-Link-LXRS and SG-Link-LXRS

Traci Barrows,
Sales Representative, Sensing Systems

Each month we offer a new technical note from our support team, Traci Barrows, Andrew Deering and Barry Trutor. This month Traci explains how to use LORD MicroStrain's DEMOD-DC® Miniature In-Line Signal Conditioner with the V-Link®-LXRS 8 Channel Wireless Analog Sensor Node and SG-Link®-LXRS 3 Channel Wireless Analog Sensor Node.

LORD MicroStrain's V-Link®-LXRS™ and SG-Link®-LXRS™ (including SG-Link®-OEM-LXRS™ and SG-Link®-OEM-LS) wireless analog sensor nodes have single ended analog input channels designed to acquire and digitize any 0-3 volts DC sensor at 12 bits and transmit the data wirelessly to a host computer. LORD MicroStrain's DEMOD-DC® miniature signal conditioner accepts DC power and provides trimmed analog output for any of LORD MicroStrain's DVRT® displacement transducers. The DEMOD-DC® can be connected to the V-Link®-LXRS™ and SG-Link®-LXRS™ single ended analog channels, and its analog displacement data can be digitized and transmitted to a host computer. This technical note discusses how to do this integration and assumes the user has some familiarity with the devices and Node Commander® software.
