The explosion of digital data created by mobile sensors, social media, surveillance, medical imaging, smart grids and more, combined with new tools for analyzing it all, has increased the opportunity to generate value and insights from this big data. The Big Data & Cloud Pavilion will feature Exosite, MicroStrain and SQLstream as well as others on the Expo Floor at the upcoming Sensors Expo & Conference, taking place June 6-7 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

On Tuesday, June 5th from 9 am - 1 pm Josh Patterson, a Solution Architect at Cloudera, will lead a half day session on Apache Hadoop Essentials for Sensor Integrated Systems. During this session attendees will learn what Apache Hadoop is; what the components are in the Hadoop ecosystem; what the motivation is for using Apache Hadoop; how Hadoop is being utilized with sensor data; and what the benefits are of analyzing data with Hadoop. This session will be beneficial for developers, system administrators, managers, architects, engineers, and anyone interested in learning about Apache Hadoop through the lens of sensors data.
