MicroStrain Agrees To Acquisition By LORD Corporation
MicroStrain has agreed to the terms of a business acquisition by LORD Corporation. LORD is committed to growing the MicroStrain workforce, which shall remain in Vermont as its Sensing Systems business. MicroStrain will continue to serve its existing customer base and markets while simultaneously working to embed its inertial and energy harvesting wireless sensors into LORD vibration control products.

Upgraded "Lossless" LXRS Software Development Kit Released
MicroStrain's improved SDK makes it easier for wireless customers to create custom applications. Updated sample codes support MicroStrain's "Lossless" LXRS wireless communication protocols. Sample codes are provided in numerous programming languages including C++, Labview 8.6 and Visual Basic.

The MicroStrain® ENV-Link -Mini -LXRS is a plug-and-play environmental monitoring node designed to continuously acquire sensor data in an outdoor or harsh setting. The ENV-Link™ -Mini -LXRS™ is SensorCloud ready for remote data access and custom alerts. It accommodates a relative humidity/temperature (RHT) sensor, and 3 additional 0-5 VDC sensors including soil moisture, leaf wetness, solar radiation, as well as cables to connect your own sensor.

SensorCloud-Enabled Bridge Monitoring System used to evaluate seismic isolation bearings
BridgeComposites, LLC of Hornell, NY deployed a MicroStrain wireless bridge monitoring system to track the performance of seismic isolation bearings. The autonomous system continuously communicated bearing health and environmental data to engineers in real-time. Vibration, longitudinal movement and seismic strain data was wirelessly aggregated via MicroStrain's web-enabled WSDA-1000 gateway and transmitted toSensorCloud.
