The New 3DM-RQ1 -45: A Cost-Effective Tactical-Grade Inertial Navigation System

RQ1 with Ruler
LORD MicroStrain's new tactical grade inertial sensor solution

LORD MicroStrain Sensing Systems unveiled the new 3DM-RQ1 -45

Designed to meet DO-160, the 3DM-RQ1 -45 provides cost-effective ruggedized airborne navigation with 5°/hour gyro bias stability. Additionally, the innovative MEMS architecture achieves tactical-grade performance with the smallest, lightest, most cost-effective package in its class.

Application Note: Unmanned Air Vehicles Inertial Sensors

Unmanned Vehicle Inertial Sensors
Best-In-Class UAV Inertial Solutions

UAVs are especially sensitive to incremental weight and volume.  As a result, autonomous platform operators may forego valuable sensing capabilities or compromise overall platform performance.

LORD MicroStrain® provides high-performance inertial sensing systems with minimal weight, size, and evaluation & integration barriers.  Our inertial solutions enable the cost effective application of precise primary and secondary unmanned navigation and ISR (intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance).

New V-Link Released with Event-Driven Triggering
The New V-Link
The New V-Link Wireless Seven Channel Analog Input Sensor Node

The V-Link® wireless node accepts up to seven analog sensors, digitizes output with 16 bit resolution, and transmits time-synchronized condition data to a remote wireless gateway.

New event-driven triggers allow V-Link users to optimize battery life while capturing vital pre- and post- event strain, torque, load, temperature, pressure, or other analog measurements.

Tech Tips and Tricks: Using Hardware Dataloggers with Inertial Sensors
Barry Trutor
Barry Trutor,
Senior Technical Support Engineer, Sensing Systems

This month Barry explains how to configure a 3DM-GX3® Inertial Sensor to continuously record to a hardware datalogger.

Many inertial applications incorporate dataloggers. The datalogger can take many forms: hardware or software, analog or digital, simple or complex, and/or combinations of all. In this technical note, let's work through a digital datalogger
with an OEM (circuit board) form factor.

Metric-Threaded Options For Miniature Displacement Sensors

Threaded DVRT
Threaded DVRT Displacement Sensor

We offers a range of miniature DVRT® displacement sensors.  These include gauging, non-gauging, sub-miniature (very small) and micro-miniature (smallest available on the market) displacement sensor designs.

Now all displacement sensors are available with a smooth, imperial threated, or metric threaded sensor body.
