(Cary, N.C. – April 6, 2016) – LORD Sensing-MicroStrain, a global leader in developing embedded sensing systems for aerospace and industrial markets, has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Vermont in 2016. This marks the fourth straight year LORD Sensing-MicroStrain has earned the honor.
The annual list of the Best Places to Work in Vermont was created by Vermont Business Magazine, the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, the Vermont Department of Economic Development, the Vermont Department of Labor, the Vermont State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Best Companies Group. Only 38 Vermont companies made the list in 2016.
“We are proud to once again be confirmed as one of the best places to work in Vermont,” said Steven Mundell, LORD Sensing-MicroStrain’s Operations Manager. “To make the list four years straight is a testament to the remarkable team we have here, and I’m honored to be a part of it."
Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Vermont. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation.
