LORD Sensing-MicroStrain Ranked Among Vermont’s Best Places to Work for Fifth Consecutive Year

(Cary, N.C. – Jan. 27, 2017) – LORD Sensing-MicroStrain, a global leader in developing embedded sensing systems for aerospace and industrial markets, has been named one of Vermont’s Best Places to Work in 2017. This marks the fifth straight year the company has earned top honors in the statewide awards program.

The annual list of the Best Places to Work in Vermont was created by Vermont Business Magazine, the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, the Vermont Department of Economic Development, the Vermont Department of Labor, the Vermont State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Best Companies Group.

LORD Sensing-MicroStrain is one of only five large companies from across the state to receive the distinction for five consecutive years.

“This award is a testament to our wonderful employees in Vermont,” said Steven Mundell, LORD Sensing-MicroStrain’s Plant Manager. “Together, we are proud to create a collaborative workplace that fosters teamwork, innovation and personal growth.”

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Vermont. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation.

The final rankings for each category will be announced at a special awards presentation on March 22 at the DoubleTree Hotel in South Burlington from 5 to 7:30 p.m. For more information on the Best Places to Work in Vermont program, visit www.BestPlacesToWorkInVT.com.
